We've all heard that Nickelback is a band that everyone loves to hate. Saying that someone likes Nickelback is a straight-up insult, all while they've managed to sell millions of albums around the world. What's the deal?
One Finnish researcher investigated: why do "music critics" love to hate on Nickelback? Her study titled “'Hypocritical Bullshit Performed Through Gritted Teeth': Authenticity Discourses in Nickelback's Album Reviews in Finnish Media,” argues that it's a matter of authenticity. Critics don't see Nickelback as genuine. Oh yeah, the guys in Nickelback give a flying f#%& what the "critics" say. LOL!
On March 13th, 2024 Nickelback made their first appearance at the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. The 75,000 people in the stands, singing along to EVERY song, were a clear sign to us: a Nickelback tribute would go over HUGE! Plus the songs are just friggin fun to play!
Nickelback is a Canadian rock band formed in 1995 in Hanna, Alberta. Band members are lead guitarist and lead vocalist Chad Kroeger, rhythm guitarist, guitarist and backing vocalist Ryan Peake, bassist Mike Kroeger, and drummer Daniel Adair.

In 2005, the band's best-selling album to date, All the Right Reasons, produced three top-10 and five top-20 singles on the Billboard Hot 100, including "Photograph", "Far Away", and "Rockstar".
